“Stroller Jam” helps raise awareness about public transit gun laws

Screen Shot 2013-08-11 at 10.25.56 AMA group of mothers raised awareness about loaded assault weapons being allowed on public transit in Arizona by holding a “Stroller Jam” on a light rail train Saturday morning.

Arizona members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is showing that while simple household products are not allowed on public transit, concealed, fully loaded weapons are, and they hope to change Arizona’s laws for child safety.

“What we’re trying to do is bring awareness to America and to Arizona that we can do better, we can reform our gun laws to make it safe for everyone,” said Kara Pelletier, Arizona Chapter Leader of Moms Demand Action.

Saturday’s protest was in response to a passenger rising a Tucson bus carrying an AR-15 rifle.
