NEW YORK – Everytown for Gun Safety released the following statement as Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) and Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY) released a joint letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray calling for an expansive investigation into whether Russia funneled money to the NRA to help elect President Donald Trump, U.S. House or U.S. Senate candidates in 2016, and whether any NRA officials, members of Congress or congressional staff had any knowledge of Russia’s alleged involvement.
