“Rep. Fletcher’s re-election to the U.S. House is just the latest proof that the NRA’s days of running roughshod through Texas are numbered,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “Everytown was proud to support gun sense candidates up and down the ballot in Texas, and we’re excited to work with Rep. Fletcher to pass new gun safety bills in the House.”
“Rep. Fletcher fought to keep Texas families safe in her first term in the House, and Texas voters took notice – that’s why they sent her back to Washington,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action. “She’s a true gun sense champion who has always put public safety before the gun lobby’s extreme agenda.”
“Texas voters know that Rep. Fletcher will keep working day-in, day-out to keep our families safe,” said Molly Bursey, volunteer with the Texas chapter of Moms Demand Action. “That’s why we worked tirelessly to send her back to Washington, so she can keep fighting for us.”
