This is an important victory for the North Carolina chapter of Moms Demand Action. Clark was the volunteer leader of North Carolina Moms Demand Action prior to her run for office and volunteers were out in force to support her. Clark was also endorsed by the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund.
The North Carolina chapter of Moms Demand Action worked tirelessly to help elect Clark, canvassing, phonebanking, writing postcards to voters and hosting events to educate voters about the importance of electing her.
STATEMENT FROM SHANNON WATTS, FOUNDER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:
“Christy is an unstoppable advocate for change. She‘s been a volunteer with the North Carolina chapter of Moms Demand Action for five years, and served as chapter leader for two. She knows firsthand that when average citizens get involved, they can force positive change in their state legislatures. I‘m incredibly proud of all Christy has accomplished and can’t wait to watch her get to work in Raleigh.”
