Shooting Comes Hours After a Mass Shooting in Brooklyn on Saturday Morning
PELHAM, N.H. — The New Hampshire chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a part of Everytown for Gun Safety, released the following statement in response to reports that a shooting left at least two people wounded during a wedding at a Pelham church.
“We’re horrified, and we’re keeping the Pelham community in our thoughts,” said Deirdre Reynolds, volunteer leader with the New Hampshire chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “We have to do more to prevent gun violence in New Hampshire.”
The Pelham shooting happened hours after a mass shooting in Brooklyn, New York left four people dead and three others wounded earlier Saturday.
Every day in the U.S. on average, 100 Americans are killed with guns, and hundreds more are shot and wounded.
