STATEMENT FROM EVE JORGENSEN, VOLUNTEER LEADER WITH THE ARKANSAS CHAPTER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:
“Nicole Clowney is one of the best organizers and mothers I’ve ever met. And, she’s spent two years fighting for gun safety in Arkansas. She knows the importance of finding common ground and has a track record to prove it. Nicole’s steadfast voice and strong work ethic is exactly what Arkansans in District 86 deserve. I am so proud of what she has accomplished and can’t wait to see what she does as an elected leader in our state.”
STATEMENT FROM SHANNON WATTS, FOUNDER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:
“Nicole became a Moms Demand Action volunteer after lawmakers passed an NRA-supported bill to force guns onto Arkansas college campuses — including the one where she taught, the University of Arkansas. Nicole will soon represent Fayetteville and the faculty and students who live and work in her university town. And that is how we make change: turn volunteers into lawmakers who will make policy that puts people over profits. Nicole is a natural leader – I have no doubt that she’ll be an amazing lawmaker.”
