CHICAGO – The Illinois chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, today responded after a shooting at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. According to press reports, a gunman shot multiple people at the hospital, killing at least one person.

“We’re thinking today of everyone affected by this horrifying shooting,” said Valerie Simutis, a volunteer with the Illinois chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “We shouldn’t have to live this way.”
