STATEMENT FROM LINDSEY DONOVAN, VOLUNTEER CHAPTER LEADER WITH THE GEORGIA CHAPTER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:
“I am angry that once again another trans woman has been killed by senseless gun violence in Georgia. Although details are still unfolding, we cannot ignore that gun violence remains a threat to the lives of many marginalized Americans, including those who are transgender. My deepest condolences go out to TeeTee’s family and friends as they now must navigate the trauma and pain so many American families and communities regretfully know all too well. It is time for our lawmakers to stand with us, and work towards implementing common-sense gun legislation that will protect all Americans, regardless of who they are.”
