Shooting at Bethune-Cookman University Monday Night the 108th School Shooting Since Sandy Hook Tragedy
In response to the shooting at Bethune-Cookman University Monday night that injured three students, the Florida Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America released the following statement:
“Once again we’re devastated to learn about another shooting on a Florida campus, and our hearts go out to the victims and their families,” said Chryl Anderson, a volunteer with the Florida Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. “Fortunately it appears that none of the injuries are life-threatening. We hope lawmakers in Tallahassee will see this shooting as a wake-up call that Florida universities should be safe places that foster learning and maturation, not ducking from gunfire. Moms stand with the entire Florida State University System in opposing efforts to force colleges and universities into allowing guns on campus.”
