NEW YORK — Today, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund announced its latest round of endorsements of Moms Demand Action volunteers running for office across the country. These endorsements are a testament to the growing power of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers as candidates for office themselves.
“Every election cycle, more and more gun safety volunteers are stepping into the arena and running for office themselves, which speaks volumes about the changing political calculus around guns,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “We’re proud to endorse these Moms Demand Action volunteers, who enter these races with strong track records of fighting hard to keep their neighbors safe.”
“There’s no one better suited to run for office than someone who knows how to organize, cares deeply about the safety of their community, and is committed to winning,” said Angela Ferrell-Zabala, executive director of Moms Demand Action. “That’s exactly why we’re so excited to see more Moms Demand Action volunteers stepping up to run all across the country. We’re going all in to make sure voters know exactly who they are and what they stand for.”
