Reports Indicate Shooter Shot and Injured at Least Four Employees Before Shooting and Killing Herself

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The California chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, today issued the following statement following a shooting at the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California. According to reports at least four people were shot and injured before the shooter shot and killed herself.

STATEMENT FROM ELLEN GINSBERG, VOLUNTEER WITH THE CALIFORNIA CHAPTER OF MOMS DEMAND ACTION FOR GUN SENSE IN AMERICA:

“Our hearts go out to the employees of the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno and their families. Once again, our country is shaken by a shooting – this one in a place of work. We cannot accept shootings at workplaces, schools, churches, movie theaters and elsewhere in our communities as the norm, and we cannot accept that 96 people die from gun violence every day in our country. Our elected leaders must do more to prevent these senseless acts of gun violence.”
