One Million Moms for Gun Control co-sponsored the March on Washington for Gun Control in Washington, DC, which was created to bring attention to the need for immediate action on common-sense gun legislation. Thousands of people turned out to show support for the cause in DC, including Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Rep. Chris Van Hollen. One Million Moms for Gun Control chapters also held local rallies and marches across the country on Saturday, Jan. 26, fromSan Francisco to Indianapolis to Boston. Attendees were asked to wear their “How Do You Wear Your Heart?” pins over their hearts to demonstrate their support of One Million Moms for Gun Control.
