Newtown residents travel to Washington D.C. to march and demand action on common-sense gun control laws.

National 1MM4GC Events on Saturday, Jan. 26

One Million Moms for Gun Control co-sponsored the March on Washington for Gun Control in Washington, DC, which was created to bring attention to the need for immediate action on common-sense gun legislation. Thousands of people turned out to show support for the cause in DC, including Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Rep. Chris Van Hollen. One Million Moms for Gun Control chapters also held local rallies and marches across the country on Saturday, Jan. 26, fromSan Francisco to Indianapolis to Boston. Attendees were asked to wear their “How Do You Wear Your Heart?” pins over their hearts to demonstrate their support of One Million Moms for Gun Control. Rally In New York on Jan. 21

1MM4GC Members from as far away as Michigan and Florida marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall to call on Congress to follow New York’s lead and enact stricter limits on weapons and ammunition purchases
