In case you missed it, ISIS released a new propaganda video to again urge its recruits to exploit weak American gun laws in order to carry out mass shooting terror attacks in the U.S.
According to the Washington Post:
In a video released Wednesday by the Islamic State, a one-legged fighter identified by the group as an American calls on Muslims in the United States to “take advantage” of the country’s gun laws to obtain weapons and carry out attacks. …
“Take advantage of the fact that you can easily obtain a rifle or a pistol in America,” the fighter says. “Spray the kuffar [infidels] with bullets so that their fear of the Muslims rises and they continue to reveal their hatred towards Islam.”
International terrorist organizations are well aware of the many loopholes in our current gun laws and for years have urged recruits living in the United States to exploit those loopholes in order to obtain guns and plan attacks on American soil.
- In May 2017, ISIS used its propaganda magazine to instruct terrorists how to easily get guns without a background check through unlicensed sellers online or at gun shows. The NRA caught flack for peddling an outrageous conspiracy theory that ISIS really just wanted to enact stronger gun laws in America.
- Days later, an ISIS sympathizer living in Washington D.C. was arrested by the FBI after setting up a private sale to avoid a background check for buying an AK-47.
- In August 2016, a jailed ISIS recruit told the New York Times, “[ISIS says] the Americans are dumb — they have open gun policies. They say we can radicalize them easily, and if they have no prior record, they can buy guns, so we don’t need to have no contact man who has to provide guns for them.”
- A 2011 Al Qaeda video stated, “America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms. You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle without a background check and, most likely, without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?”
Currently, under federal law and the law in more than 30 states, terrorists can rely on unlicensed sellers online or at gun shows – where no background check is required – to purchase firearms.
The NRA so far has stayed silent on the latest ISIS propaganda video that urges terrorists to exploit U.S. gun laws in order to attack Americans with guns.
